It took a pit bull called Petey to teach us that our dog is not obedient...and he is.
Petey is the sweetest dog. He has beautiful cappuccino markings against his white fur with very pretty light eyes. Walking him was like walking air. He did not tug a bit. Quite a contrast from our fourteen pound cocker spaniel. We stopped to sit on a bench and he hopped up and gave me a big lick across the face. Good news for Petey he was headed out to a rescue organization or an adoption, so thankfully he has a promising future.
Tony and I volunteered on Sunday for the Animal Care + Control in East Harlem. We'll definitely be back. This was one of our best days in the city yet!
Another dog that was my favorite was Neptune. He is ten years old and mostly bull dog. Here is his broad gait (from behind). Super duper cute.
And here is Nanai who is also a pit bull and also very sweet.
